The NCT of Delhi Government is working on an application that will show the number of available beds and ventilators in this COVID-19 pandemic. This will help people to stay informed about the hospital beds available around them. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the application will be launch by the Government of NCT Delhi on Monday.
Kejriwal exclaimed during a press conference that despite arranging all the facilities in this time of the pandemic, people are still confused about the situation. People are not aware of the place where to take a COVID-19 patient. This app will help them to detect the nearest vacant hospital bed immediately. Also, the number of available ventilators will also be shown for the help of critical patients.
Kejriwal said, "They are not sure about the beds and ventilators available in the hospitals. For the convenience of such people and to eliminate problems due to such issues, we are developing an app that will be launched on Monday".
For the people who don't own a smartphone, a helpline number has also been issued by the Delhi Government. The Helpline Number is 1031.
According to the chief minister, only 500 people out of the 8,500 new cases that were reported in the past 15 days have been admitted to hospitals. The rest of the patients are recovering at home.
Kejriwal explained that the app will curb the time of the patient's family to take the patients to the nearest hospital as the patients will not be the one looking for hospitals. This app will also help people to take note of the surrounding situation. If time is consumed in the correct way, it will help to witness the increase in the recovery rate. Inadequate measures and improper medication may lead to a rise in the death graph.
