The plea of bail made by a self-styled godman Rampal has been dismissed by the high court bench, while another bench was trying to seek affidavit from senior police officers regarding security arrangements.

Meanwhile, a bench of Justice S Muralidhar and Justice Avneesh Jhingan sought within two days an affidavit from the officer in charge of law and order in Hisar assuring the court needs adequate security that will be deployed at his wedding venue to ensure that there is no other large gatherings of people and Covid-19 guidelines being followed strictly.
A Senior advocate named Vinod Ghai has appeared in both of petitions filed, said that bail was sought in two different FIRs filled. Hence, there was nothing wrong with the filing of two different petitions. However, ordinarily, these were listed before a bench, he said, adding that judges also acknowledged the same as well.
Therefore, Satlok Ashram's head has convicted him for life imprisonment without ‘remission’ in Hisar trial court regarding murder cases registered against him in the year 2014.
