Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani expressed his vision of making Gujarat a fully transparent technological hub at a private event in Surat on 11th June 2018. He aims to achieve a corruption-free government by making effective use of technology within the administration. According to the proposed plan, all people-oriented tasks and basic administrative functions will be made online and transparent in order to curb corruption. Activities such as permission of NA for land will be made through online maps in order to reduce the daily hassles of visiting government offices.
He further, promoted the Chief Minister Apprenticeship Scheme for developing a pool of skilled youth force in Gujarat. Under this scheme, one-lakh youths would be given skill development training at various service centers and industries across the state. A total apprentice stipend of Rs 9,000/- shared equally by the state government, central government and Industrial Houses would be given per month to these candidates.
