THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR DELEGATION OF POWERS ACT, 2016

Whereas it is expedient to bring the provisions of the laws in force in the State in accord with the provisions of Proclamation P-1/16 of 2016 dated 9th of January, 2016.
1 . Short title, extent, duration and saving.
(1) This Act may called the Jammu and Kashmir Delegation of Powers Act, 2016.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State.
(3) It shall come into force at once and shall remain in force during the period of operation of Proclamation No. P-1/16 of 2016 dated 9th of January, 2016, but its expiry under the operation of this sub-section shall not affect the validity of anything done, any action taken or any power exercised (including any order made or proceedings taken) by virtue of the provisions of this Act.
2. Delegation of powers.-
During the continuance in force of this Act, the powers exercisable by a Minister under any law, rule or order for the time being in force, shall, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any such law, rule or order, be exercised by such person or authority as the Governor may by order, from time to time, direct.
