THE INDIRA GANDHI KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA (SANSHODHAN) ADHINIYAM, 2002

An Act to Amend the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1987 (No. 20 of 1987).
Be it enacted by Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty third Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and Commencement
(1) This Adhiniyam may be called the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (Sanshodan) Adhiniyam, 2002 (No. 23 of 2002).
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
2. Insertion in Section 5.
After clause (2) of Section of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1987 (No. 29 of 1987) (hereinafter called as a Principal Act), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
“(22) To affiliate/recognize colleges/education institutions for the purpose to grant degrees/deplomas/certificates in agriculture, animal husbandry, agriculture engineering and technology, and other allied sciences”.
3. Insertion in Section 28.
After clause (xxviii) of Section 28 of the Principal Act, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-
“(xxix) To affiliate any college or any education institution under the management of any authority other than the University as recognized institution for conducting degree/diploma/certificate courses in agriculture and allied sciences as per the provision of regulation made for this purpose”.
