PREAMBLE
An Act further to amend the Uttarakhand (the Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973) Adaptation and Modification Order, 2006 for the State of Uttarakhand
Be it enacted in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--
Section 1 - Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand (the Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973) Adaptation and Modification Order, 2006 (Amendment) Act, 2008.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
Section 2 - Insertion of new proviso in place of proviso of Section 39(1)
In sub-section (1) of Section 39 of the Uttarakhand (the Uttar Pradesh Town Planning and Development Act, 1973) Adaptation and Modification Order, 2006, the following proviso shall be inserted in place of existing proviso, namely:--
"Provided that the State Government by notification in Gazette, may increase or decrease the aforementioned percentage in stamp duty.".
