PREAMBLE
Further to amend the Uttar Pradesh Awas avam Vikas Parishad Act, 1965 (As applicable in the State of Uttarakhand) in its applicability to the State of Uttarakhand.
An Act
Be it enacted in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly as follows:
Section 1 - Short Title and Commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh Awas avam Vikash Parishad Act, 1965) (Amendment) Act, 2009.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Uttarakhand except Cantonment Areas.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
Section 2 - Repeal of Section 62 of the Principal Act
In section 62 of the Uttarakhand (Uttar Pradesh Awas avam Vikas Parishad Act, 1965 hereinafter referred to as Principal Act, is hereby repealed in relation to the State of Uttarakhand.
Section 3 - Repealed and Savings
Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or any action taken under the provisions of the principal Act, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of the principal Act as amended by this Act as if the provisions of this Act were in force at all the material times.
