THE COURT FEES (MIZORAM AMENDMENT) (AMENDMENT) ACT 2007
(Act No. 3 of 2007).

An Act to amend the Court Fees (Mizoram Amendment) Act, 1996 (Act No. of 1997) to
provide for refund of court fees in certain cases.
It is enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram in the fifty-eight year of the
Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement
(1) This Act may be called the Court Fees (Mizoram Amendment) (Amendment) Act,
2007.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Mizoram Gazette.
2. Insertion of new Section 5
(1) In the Court Fees (Mizoram Amendment) Act. 1996 after section 4, a new section shall be inserted as follows:-
“5. REFUND OF FEES:
Where the court refers the parties to the suit to anyone of the mode of settlement of dispute referred to in section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure 1908, and the matter is settled accordingly, the plaintiff shall be entitled to a certificate from the court authorising him to receive back from the collector. The full amount of the fee paid in respect of such plaint".
