THE ORISSA LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY DEPUTY SPEAKER'S SALARY AND ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1998

An act further to amend the Orissa legislative assembly deputy speaker's salary and allowances act, 1959.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Slate of Orissa in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows;—
1. Short title and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Orissa Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker's Salary and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1998.
(2) It shall come into force on the 1st day of August, 1998.
2. Amendment of section 3.
In the Orissa Legislate Assembly Deputy Speaker's Salary and Allowances Act, 1959 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 3, for the 25 of 1959 words "three thousand and five hundred rupees", the words "four thousand and five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 4.
In the principal Act, for the words "rupees one thousand" the words "rupees two thousand" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of section 4-A.
In the principal Act, in section 4-A, for the words "rupees one thousand", the words "rupees four thousand and five hundred" shall be substituted.
