AN Act Further to amend the Orissa Legislative Assembly Speaker's Salary and Allowance Act, 1960.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-ninth Year " ' of the Republic of India as follows:—
1. Short title and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Orissa Legislative Assembly Speaker's Salary and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1998.
(2) It shall come into force on the 1st day of August, 1998.
2. Amendment of section 3.
In the Orissa Legislative Assembly Speaker's Salary and Allowances Act, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 3 for the words "four thousand and three hundred rupees", the words "five thousand and five hundred rupees" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 4.
In the principal Act, in section 4, for the word "ones thousand rupees", the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of section 4-A.
In the principal Act, in section 4-A, for the words "one thousand rupees," the words "five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
