THE COURT FEES (ORISSA AMENDMENT) ACT, 1993
Orissa Act No. 9 of 1993
[Received the assent of the Governor on the 4th May 1993, first published in an extraordinary issue of the Orissa Gazette dated the 10th May 1993]
An act further to amend the court fees act, 1870 in its application to the state of orissa.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title.
This Act may be called the Court Fees (Orissa Amendment) Act, 1993.
2. Amendment of Schedule II.
In Schedule II to the Court Fees Act, 1870 as amended in its application to the State of Orissa, in article 1, for clause (d) including the entries under the second and third columns thereof , the following shall be substituted, namely:-
Thirty rupees
“(d) (i) When presented to the High Court under Section 115 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.
(ii) When presented to a District Court under Section 115 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 for revision of an order;
Eleven rupees
(a) When the value of the suit or proceedings to which the order relates does not exceed one thousand rupees.
Twenty rupees
(b) When the value of the suit or proceedings exceeds one thousand rupees.
Four rupees.”
(iii) When presented to a Court otherwise than under that Section.
