Received the assent of the President on the 9th April 1965, first published in the Fort St. George Gazette on the 21st April 1965 (Vaisaka 1, 1887).]
An Act to provide for the continuance of the (These words were substituted for the word “Madras” by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969 [Tamil Nadu] Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955.
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the (This expression was substituted for the expression “State of Madras” by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969) [State of Tamil Nadu] in the Fifteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:
Short title
1. This Act may be called the (These words were substituted for the word “Madras” by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Cultivating Tenants Protection (Continuance) Act, 1965.
(This expression was substituted for the expression “Madras Act” by paragraph 3(2) of the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969) [Tamil Nadu Act] XXV of 1965 to be a permanent Act
2. The (These words were substituted for the word “Madras” by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969) [Tamil Nadu] Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955 ((These words were substituted for the word “Madras” by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969 [Tamil Nadu] Act XXV of 1955) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) shall, as amended by this Act, become a permanent Act.
3-5. [The amendments made by these sections have already been incorporated in the principal Act, namely, the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act XXV of 1955).]
