AN ACT TO EXTEND THE PROVISIONS OF THE INDIAN SOLDIERS (LITIGATION) ACT, 1925 TO PROCEEDINGS UNDER CERTAIN SPECIAL ACTS
BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Sixteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title, extent and commencement.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Indian Soldiers (Litigation) (Extension to other Proceedings) Act, 1965.
(2) It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa.
(3) It shall come into force at once.

Extended definition of Court.
2. The term “Court” as defined in clause (a) of section 2 of the Indian Soldiers (Litigation) Act, 1925, shall include all Courts and other authorities functioning under any of the following Act, namely:-
(1) Orissa Estates Abolition Act, 1951 (Orissa Act I of 1952).
(2) Orissa Tenants Relief Act, 1955 (Orissa Act 5 of 1955).
(3) Orissa Merged Territories (Village Offices Abolition) Act, 1963 (Orissa Act 10 of 1963).
(4) Orissa Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Orissa Act 16 of 1960).
