An Act to amend the Assam Science and Technology University Act, 2009.
Preamble:-Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Science and Technology University Act, 2009, hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title and commencement:-
1. (1) The Act may be called the Assam Science and Technology University (Amendment) Act, 2011.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
Amendment of section 8:-
2. In the principal Act, in sub-section (1), for the words “The Governor of Assam”, the words “Chief Minister of Assam” shall be substituted.
