In the midst of challenges from Islamic gatherings, Malaysia's above all else has affirmed the appointment of ethnic Indian lawyer, Mr. Tommy Thomas as the new Attorney General. With this appointment, Mr. Thomas has turned into the first individual from the minority network to hold the post in 55 years. Having been selected by the recently chose 92-year-old Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad, he presently replaces the former Attorney General Mohamed Apandi Ali. His appointment was affirmed by an announcement issued by Malaysia's top dog, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V.
