The Azad Hind Sena members busted crackers in front of the Supreme Court premises to protest against the decision of the apex court banning sale of crackers in Delhi and NCR region. According to reports, 14 people were detained from the spot and were taken to the Tilak Marg police station. On October 9, a bench headed by Justice A K Sikri banned the sale of fire crackers in Delhi/NCR.
Earlier today Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajinder Bagga distributed sacks full crackers to slum kids in Hari Nagar area of west Delhi and tweeted photos and a video of him giving out firecrackers to the children. Bagga claimed that just distribution did not amount to contempt of court as the order puts ban on “sale” of crackers. Delhi police has also refused to take action against the action has distribution would not would not amount to violation of the court’s order.
