The Central Government has issued a notification yesterday in respect of the appointment of two advocates as Additional Judges in the Jharkhand High Court. It indicates the appointment of Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi and Deepak Roshan to the Jharkhand High Court Bench for a period of two years from the date of the assumption of office.
The appointment was made following a recommendation of the Collegium of the Supreme Court made last December, following a recommendation of the High Court Collegium for this purpose last May.
The government notification issued indicates accordingly that in
exercising the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, and (ii) Deepak Roshan, as Additional Judges of the Jharkhand High Court, in the order of seniority, for a period of two years from the date on which they take charge of their respective offices.
