The Supreme Court has decided to treat Ayodhya only as a disputed land case based on recorded evidence. A bench consisting of Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Ashok Bhushan J., and S Abdul Nazeem J. heard the arguments from the parties on Wednesday. The bench decided to treat it only as a disputed land case to avert religious disputes. The court has clearly stated that the petition will be decided on the basis of legal arguments. The bench is trying to relieve the ongoing frenzy dispute over 2.77 acres of land. The Court clarified that priority would be given to evidence on record and not to any kind of religions importance of the place. The matter has been adjourned till March 14, until then various documents and copies of videography of the disputed site, attached to original records of the case has been exchanged between the parties. The High Court bench consisting of three judges described the case as the most important case of the last century and decided the title suits by 2:1 majority and then cleaved the disputed area in three equal parts. The ruling came on 30th September 2010 as per which the land was divided equally among Ram Lalla deity, Niromahi Akhara and the Sunni Wakf Board. Three dome structures were demolished in early 90s out of which the Central dome was declared as the birth place of lord Ram, the Ram Chabutra was allotted to the Akhara and the Wakf was allotted the remaining area.
