Altogether 18 security personnel deployed at the Patna High court premises tested positive for Covid-19 on July, 12.
The DSP who was incharge of the Patna High court's security was the first to be tested positive for Covid-19 , a day back, after which samples of 20 more security personnel were collected on the same day. Of the 20, 18 have turned out to be Covid-19 positive. This includes both men and female. There's total eight female constables who reported positive.
Patna DM Kumar Ravi said that samples of 35 more security personnel include those from Patna police and special auxiliary police (SAP) were collected on Sunday for further testing as per contact tracing by health department staffs.
He notified "Patna SSP had been asked to send all those 18 security personnel in isolation who had been tested positive till now along with replacing them".
Ravi said municipal corporation had been asked to sanitize the high court.
Further he added " our team will go High court on Monday for collecting samples of more persons as per contact tracing of those who had been tested positive on July, 12. High court authorities had been informed about it".
Peons and other staffs from high court offices go at residence of judges for delivering files and documents amid present scenario for continuing with virtual hearing of cases.
These peons and other staffs also remain in continuous touch with security personnel deployed inside high court premises.
One of the senior most administrative officer of Patna high court preferring anonymity, said all offices of high court would remained closed till Wednesday for large scale sanitization work due to police personnel getting tested positive.
A notice was also issued by high court registrar general on Sunday directing court officers for ensuring proper sanitization of entire court premises. He had also directed that entry in court complex would be restricted very few authorised person till Wednesday.
