A day before the much expected of five Rafale Fighter Aircraft from France to Ambala, a security system has been tightened around the air force station Ambala by the police, on the special of Indian Air Force to prevent any photography or videography around the air force station of the aircraft landing today.
Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.P.C) of 1973 (which states to prohibit the gathering or assembly of four or more people in an area and according to law people who’ll be the member of such group will be punished) has been imposed in the nearby villages within the three kilometers radius of the Kalpi Air Base in Ambala.
Even the gathering on the rooftops of houses and clicking pictures are also banned during the landing of Rafale Aircraft. Reporters are also not allowed to go for a shoot when the aircraft will land on the airbase. The Ambala airbase is now “a no drone” area at the time of the landing of Rafale if any drone is seen flying within the airbase or around the radius of three Km of the airbase strict action will be taken against the person who is disobeying the rule said by Ram Kumar, DSP Ambala Cantt.
The Ambala Airbase is surrounded by the four villages namely Dhulkot, Baldev Nagar, Garnala, Panjokhra, etc. and very close to National Highway so the movement of anti-social element near the air force base during the event will endanger the security information.
The Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Defence in Chandigarh has said timely pictures and videos of the arrival will be available for everyone and it is also said that the final induction ceremony will take place in August in which full media coverage will be allowed.
Five Rafale aircraft have taken off from the Merignac Airbase, France Monday enroute to Ambala a distance of 7000km. The aircraft took a hault at Al Dhafra Airbase near Abu Dhabi and will continue to fly toward Ambala airbase today.
Around four years ago India has sanctioned a sum of Rs.59,000 Crore deal to buy Rafale Jet Air Craft and to boost the Indian Air force. It is said that 36 Rafale Jet aircraft will be delivered to India by the end of 2021. The aircraft delivery was first scheduled to be done in May end but due to the Pandemic COVID 19 situations, the delivery was postponed by two months agreed by both the countries India and France.
The Indian Air Force has taken major infrastructural upgrades at the Ambala Air Base for the deployment of the first five Rafale jets squadron. The Mirage fighters that were used for the strike in Balakot in Pakistan 2019 after Pulwama Attack had taken off from here. These aircraft are expected to boost the capabilities of the Indian Air Force combat capabilities at a time when India is facing China in eastern Ladakh.
The Indian Government has taken the step to help and increase the morale and the strength and boost the Indian Army. The Rafale aircraft with the latest design and with deadly capabilities are being bought to India which costs 59 thousand crore rupees. Although no citizen is allowed to capture any photo or video or can fly any drones around the 3 km radius of the Ambala airbase as it can harm the safety of the information. Section 144 has been imposed in Ambala around the airbase for the safety reasons.
