Senior advocate Maninder Singh resigned from the post of Additional Solicitor General(ASG). He was designated as Senior Advocate in 2008 and was appointed as the ASG in June 2014. The centre in March extended his tenure along with PS Narasimha’s tenure till June 2020 and also appointed Senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi as AS G.
Mr Singh resigned on October 10 while on the same day senior advocate Tushar Mehta was appointed as the Solicitor General of India. In the past three months, he is the third ASG to have resigned. Senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi resigning this July while Senior Advocate PS Narasimha resignation is yet to be accepted.
