After the country shifted from lockdown 4.0 to unlock 1.0, the state government had the freedom of choosing the closure and reopening of facilities and activities keeping in mind the local conditions.
According to this order, the Haryana government has stated that students can go back to school from July and colleges can reopen from August.
Haryana education minister, Kanwar Pal Gujjar stated that there will be resumption of teaching work of Class 10 and 12 from July and all colleges and universities whether private or government can reopen from August. The classes of first year students will commence from September.
Only 50% of the students will be allowed to take classes after the resumption of schools.
The gvernment has announced that only half students will attend classes. Half of them will attend in first shift and the other half in second shift.
They are yet to decide if it will be morning and evening shift or alternate days.
The state at first will conduct a few demo classes to assess the situation in selected schools and also, check if the norms of social distancing are maintainable or not. It will collect feedback from teachers, parents and students on conducting classes in shifts.
The Directorate of School Education has asked the District Education Officers to form committees and take a feedback on the said matter. A hearing will be conducted on June 7th
