Khaitan & Co. promoted 16 partners, total tally crosses 150 mark
Khaitan and Co as of late promoted 16 Principal Associates to organization, taking the total toll of accomplices at the firm to 153. The promotions are in effect from April 1, 2020.
Eight lawyers have been made Partner at the firm's Mumbai office. They are - Abhiraj Gandhi (Real Estate), Abhishek Dadoo (Corporate), Aditi Sharma (Direct Tax), Ashish Mehta (Direct Tax), Manavendra Mishra (Dispute Resolution), Ravitej Chilumuri (Dispute Resolution), Shabnam Shaikh (Direct Tax), and Shantanu Gupta (Corporate).
Speaking on this round of promotions, Executive Director - Human Resources, Amar Sinhji said,
"In spite of the unprecedented situation and the uncertainty of how the near future will pan out, the firm continues to recognise outstanding performance and high potential. While there are many other outstanding and deserving members, we have taken a cautious approach in our promotions this year. The Kolkata office saw four promotions - Asim Chowdhury (Direct Tax), Rahul Dhanuka (Indirect Tax), Rusha Mitra (Corporate) and Subhro Chatterjee (Real Estate).
Three lawyers from the Delhi office - Aditya Ganju (Dispute Resolution), Ankur Sangal (IPR), and Sarthak Sarin (Corporate) have been promoted to partnership.
Swathy Ramanath (EIR) from the Bangalore office was additionally among the new promotees.
The firm has additionally made eight Counsel. Abhinav Chandan, Ahana Sinha, Chirayu Chandani, Jyoti Sinha, Malay Shah, Pranav Sampat, Rohit Ambast, and Snehal Kakrania have all been promoted.
The new partners and counsels are drawn from the entirety of the association's market - leading works, including Corporate, Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Direct Tax, Dispute Resolution, Indirect Tax, Infrastructure, Private Client, Private Equity, Public M&A, Real Estate, TMT and White Collar Crime.
