Answer By Lawyer : If this is your ownland no body can claim in the name of idol. Any intervention from the public in your land would be encroachment or illegal possession by public themselves in the name of puja or whatsoever. You can initially file complaint or representation to local authority.

After registration if anybody challenge the said property then you can resolve this issue by Legal Notice sending through Advocate.

Answer By Lawyer : Yes there is a provision in Law where the property owner can prevent people from entering in his property owned. It comes under trespassing of land can also be a punishable offence held under IPC. However if the owner does not shows any objection on time or immediately then it will not be a punishable offence later.
For safety you have to put a sign board writing your objection statement for letting people know your feelings and interest.
