Maan ki baat
Today PM Narendra modi addressed nation through “maan ki baat”. Nation was waiting for his adress and was expecting announcments in regards to the lockdown going on for COVID- 19 which is expected to end on 3rd of may 2020 but instead of making any announcement in regards to the period of the lockdown PM Modi praised various people who are fighting coronavirus from front end. some of the major key points from ''maan ki baat'' are as follows:
• Our framers are working day and night in their fields to ensure that no one goes hungry....there are people who are giving up rents and there are people who are giving up their pension. I bow and respect the 138cr people of this country for what they are doing during this time.
• People of our country are fighting this war with the administration.... we are also fighting poverty... I am proud that all of us are part of it....all of us are soldiers in this fight.
• People around the world are falling back to Ayurveda and yoga to fight COVID-19. We need to be more confident about our old teachings.
• The month of ramzan has begun. Last time, during ramzan, we never imagined that something like this will happen. We have to be more resilient and reserved during this ramazan so that we can celebrate EID when it comes.
• We need to wear masks.... it has become a part of our daily lives....it has not happened before but this is the new reality. Our perception about masks will change very soon.
• Arranging food for the needy, to supply of rations compliance of lockdown from arrangements in hospital to manufacturing medical equipments indigenous, entire nations is marching a head together.
• PM Modi exhorts people to stop spitting in public places, says it will increase basic hygiene and strengthen fight against Covid-19.
• ‘Do Gaz Doori, bahot hai Zaroori,' PM modi gives slogan to make people aware of social distancing.
• I feel very proud when world leaders thank India and its people for assistance amid coronavirus pandemic.
• He said all these institutions are utilizing technological advancements to cope with the difficulties that have arisen due to this virus pandemic.
