The Karnataka State Government is all set to lay the foundation stone of a 108 feet tall statue of Bengaluru Founder, Kempegowda. The Statue is made up of Bronze and expenses are estimated to be nearly 660,000,000 INR. The Foundation stone of the Statue is to be laid on the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, on June 27th.
Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, CN Aswath Narayan, who is also the vice president of The Kempegowda Development Authority has announced that June 27th is 511th Birth Anniversary of Kempegowda. So, on that day, the model of the statue will be unveiled. The Cost is around 660,000,000 INR and the model is ready and will be unveiled after The Chief Minister finalizes it.
The Statue will be designed by Ram V Sutar and Anil R Sutar, the same sculptors who designed the World's Tallest Statue, The Statue of Unity.
According to Deputy CM, Kempegowda International Airport has also given clearance on the land of 23-acre, in front of the airport for the construction of the Statue.
Currently, India has around 236,000 patients out of which 113,000 have recovered. 6600 casualties have also taken place. India, also to be estimated to reach the peak point of single-day infections really soon. India has also overtaken Italy in the count of Confirmed Infections. India is now the World's Sixth Most COVID-19 Infected Country.
