The Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) has been rescheduled once again. The updated date for the exam has been declared to be held on 7th September, 2020.
The General Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities to review the precautionary measures to be taken in context of COVID 19 pandemic, met on the 10th of August, 2020, where the feasible day for conducting the exam has been selected. Earlier this year, the exam has been called off by the consortium due to the rapid spread of corona virus which made it impossible for the applicants to sit for their exams.
It is decided by the NLU Consortium that the design of the said exam will be “centre-based, online computer based exam” and on the 7th of September it will be conducted for both under-graduate and post-graduate candidates from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
In two week’s time the admit cards of the students mentioning their roll number and centre of examination will be available for download on the NLU Consortium. The notification also mentions that,
“The Consortium is in the process of securing further permissions so that the Admit Cards of candidates shall be considered as Movement Passes by local authorities to allow candidates to move between Containment zones and travel to their designated examination centre.”
The consortium ensured that measures of medical safety will be followed as per the outlined notification by the same dated 30.06.2020.
The students are asked to carry their masks with them to the examination centre without which they will not be allowed to enter the examination centers. Additionally it has also been ensured in the notification that all other respiratory etiquettes will also be maintained at all time during the exam. The Consortium website will notify a detailed instruction in this regard.
The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting consortiumofnlus.ac.in for updates and further instructions which will be updated in due course as necessary.
